I'm a sad excuse for a blogger -- 5 months is unacceptable. However, in my defense, I have been busy with such mundane activities that did not warrant being conveyed.
Contract ended at Hearst, but do have some prospects. During my time off (which seems to be a May theme for me), I will tackle the bedroom floors. This time, I swear, I will not break my back. I am not moving all the furniture myself. May not move any of it .. will poly around the furniture. If furniture is covering the floor, there will be no wear and tear, right?
Since I last wrote this is what's been going on:
- Mom came to visit this past week. Had a lovely time. Dinner at Langans on Saturday, then went to see Deuce. Bday/Mother's Day dinner at Roth's on Sunday. And she had a great visit w/ her former NYC roommate from the '50s, Kathleen Widdoes. And while I'm linking to imdb, here's my mom's page: Nancy Saunders Robinson
- Taught Buddy a new trick -- I say to him, "Who loves you?" and he responds with, "Yuuuuuuu" in the Beagle melodic bay voice.
- Discovered the Conservatory Garden while taking Buddy for a walk. It's magnificant.
- Saw a few plays through Roundabout Theatre Group: Talk Radio, G.B. Shaw's Heartbreak House, Howard Katz, Tennessee William's Suddenly Last Summer, and most recently w/ mom, Deuce
- Moved from 17.com and cosmogirl.com to goodhousekeeping.com and countryliving.com @ Hearst.
- Christmas in NC -- mom refinished Al's grandma's coffee table and a sewing machine bench formally belonging to Socas' grandma to go with the mom-refinished sewing machine also formally belonging to Al's grandma.
- Thanksgiving in NJ -- I was the good daughter-in-law and took care of the entire after-dinner cleanup since my mother-in-law was embarking on chemo at the time. She's doing very well now

Glad to hear you are doing well. I was wondering when you are going to do another trip...we've gone a long time without any Buddy photos.
So Langan's on Friday---be there or be square!
Jay
