Memorial Weekend plans are to drive to Griswold, CT to visit Homespun Farm.  Alex had to work a bit in the morning, so we got a later start than originally planned. We were 2,000 miles overdo for an oil change and instead of going earlier in the week, decide to go on our way out of town. Didn’t take too long and got a free car wash out of it. But then we got on the road – it was 1:45pm Trip was supposed to only take 2 ½ hours …. 4 hours later, we were no where near our destination. It was bumper-to-bumper out of Manhattan. The oil change place is on 109th and 1st Ave, so we thought we were on our way. FDR was backed up, so continued on 1st Ave. and got Major Deegan. But then we stopped moving.

Finally arrived a little before 8pm. Luckily it was still somewhat light out and we were able to look around. Picked up sandwiches on our way in and had a picnic at the Koi pond.
