Time to head back to NYC. We had our last breakfast and Kate joined us and visited all morning. Since we were the only ones there, Buddy had free reign of the place. They let their dogs out too and all 4 of them played in the dining room. Kate gave me copies of all her recipes (lucky Alex!) and even gave me one of the aprons (which they usually sell, but since we were probably their last guests, she insisted I take one).

And she wrapped up extra blueberry muffins (which she made of course, from fresh blueberries from the farm) for our trip back. We were dreading the same kind of drive back and we had on the way there. Kate warned that Monday would be worse.

Luckily, that was not the case. I flew back – made it door to door in 2 hours and 10 minutes. So we were back in the city before 1pm. Gave us time to do our weekend chores.
