I am still a pitiful blogger. I’ve had so much to write, but haven’t taken the time to sit and actually write. Luckily, I’m on vacation and finally have the time to do so. Sitting in the backyard of our friends, the Bellingraths, up in Albany, NY, watching Buddy fetch.

We’re on vacation because it’s my birthday week. I refuse to work on my bday, but haven’t been on vacation in a year (last bday in Paris, remember?), so decided to take the entire week off. Also, Thompson and Marisa invited us up for the Dave Mathews Band show in Saratoga Springs (bout an hour north of them). The show being on a Tuesday made it more sensible for us to take the entire week off. And it just happened to coincide w/ my bday.

So, let me fill you in on what’s been going on the past few months:

My cousin, Patrick Driscoll, moved to NYC and is the sommelier at Porterhouse Restaurant . We had a fantastic dinner there a month ago

Saw a few shows lately – Fountains of Wayne opening for Squeeze, The Police and then the Black Crowes. Tonight, obviously, DMB.

Alex and his parents got me the new iPhone for my bday. It is, w/out a doubt, the greatest devise on the planet.  It’s amazing! I love it and thank them for a great gift.

Recent observations:

Lemonade stand – when I had a stand, it was not corporate-sponsored. Apparently in NYC, the kids get corporate sponsorship.
